Hands-On Dinners
Each Thursday from 4pm...
Each Thursday from 4.00pm we work with 12-19 year-olds in our cafe kitchen. The youth prepare a plant-based evening meal, ready to serve to cafe guests from 6pm. Beyond learning how to prepare nutritious meals, the team really enjoys plating up and serving the dinner guests as they arrive. The students also produce - carob chocolate bars, sauerkraut and macaruffles. See our Hands-On Production Tab.
This year we are also planning some field trips to local food producers.
If you are between 12 and 19 and interested in cooking contact us, email naomi@handsonfood.nz or phone 06 328 5917. This program is also supported by local business and organisations who engage the Hands-On Food team to cater their function or event (groups from 10 up to 40).
If your business or organisation would like healthy catering served by a fun and enthusiastic team, call us on 06 328-5917 or email contact@wholegrainorganics.co.nz
