Mulch Direct Growing in Commercial Vegetable Production - 2nd Annual Field Day here @ Live2Give Farm

On Thursday 1st of February we hosted a group of vegetable farmers, consultants, scientists and industry experts who all share the common goal of improving how we grow kai. We considered topics of increasing soil fertility, keeping our soils permanently covered and full of roots, economic viability, farming equipment, cover cropping and an update on our Sustainable Food and Fibre Futures research project which is in its third year here at our Live2Give Farm in Palmerston North.

A great and full day, looking into the successes and challenges we are facing and exploring ideas for improving soil health and sustainability.
